PERIS+TORAL ARQUITECTES is a Barcelona-based architecture practice founded by Marta Peris and José Toral. The office is dedicated to exploring ways of living and building that respond to contemporary social and environmental challenges.

José Toral is Associate Professor in the Department of Architectural Projects at ETSAB-UPC, where he specialises in the study of public space and urban projects. Marta Peris is Senior Lecturer at ETSAB. She completed her PhD in 2016 with the dissertation The Japanese House through the Films of Yasujiro Ozu, published in 2019 under the title Ozu’s House.

Since 2024, both have also been visiting lecturers at EPFL Lausanne.

Their work has been recognised with the RIBA International Prize 2024 and the CSCAE Spanish Architecture Prize 2022, and they were finalists for the EU Mies Award 2022. Their projects have been widely published and presented at international conferences andhave been featured in exhibitions including the monographic retrospective Peris+Toral Wohnungsbau at Kunstverein Bielefeld, as well as exhibitions at the Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine in Paris and several participations in the Venice Biennale (2016, 2025).
