The call for the 2024/25 enrolment for undergraduate and single-cycle master study programmes will be published on January 31st on the website of the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport.

Admission process
All important information on the application and acceptance procedure for undergraduate and single-cycle master's study programmes will be published in the »Call for enrolment« around January 31st, 2024 for academic year 2024/25 on the Ministry of Education, Science and sport website (in English).
The »Call for enrolment« will contain information on the number of enrolment places, deadlines for applications and acceptance procedures, overseen by the Higher Education Application and Information Service of the University of Ljubljana.

CALL FOR ENROLMENT 2024/25
The Call for enrolment will be published on January 31st, 2024.
Method of Application
Candidates submit an electronic application via the eVŠ web portal https://portal.evs.gov.si/prijava/
By using electronic identification of at least a medium reliability level (a qualified digital certificate, smsPASS, e-ID), an AAI-account (authentication and authorisation infrastructure account) or a username and password via the SI-PASS system, which operates as part of the Trust Service Authority of Slovenia
After submitting the application, the candidate receives confirmation of the successful submission at the e-mail address provided in the application for enrolment. If the candidate does not receive the confirmation, the application has not been successfully submitted.
Following the application and admission procedures for the 2024/2025 academic year, applicants submit all proof required for the application (the appendices to the application required under point 6. and in Annex 4 of the call) electronically, via the eVŠ portal.
An application is considered timely if it was completed and submitted with an electronic signature to the eVŠ portal by the deadline published in the call.
Because all communication, including possible notifications to complete the application for enrolment, are conducted over e-mail, candidates are required to regularly check the e-mail address provided in the application and the eVŠ web portal. Candidates must confirm that the e-mail address provided in the application is valid.
In case of the implementation of the proposal of the Act on Amendments and Supplements to the Act on Higher Education, calls and other documentation will not be provided to candidates by post, but exclusively in electronic form, through the eVŠ web portal. In this case, the decision will be considered as delivered to the candidates two working days after its publication on the eVŠ portal.
Application Periods for Citizens of Slovenia, Citizens of EU Member States, and Slovenians without Slovenian Citizenship
Application is possible for the following:
- Citizens of the Republic of Slovenia and citizens of EU member states, as well as Slovenians without a Slovenian citizenship.
- Citizens of non-EU states who have a permanent residence permit and are themselves, or have parents who are, residents of the Republic of Slovenia for tax purposes.
- Persons with a recognized international protection status and those applying for international protection.

Each candidate can submit one application, where they list up to three (3) programmes they wish to apply for, ordering them from least to most desired.

Enrolment Places
The number of enrolment places for the second application period will be announced on August 20, 2024.
Application and Admission Procedure
Application is possible for the following:
- candidates who did not apply during the first application period,
- candidates who were not admitted to any of the programmes listed in their first application,
- candidates who did not apply for the study programme they were admitted to during the first application period, and
- candidates who left the study programme they were admitted to during the first application period, up until and including August ...

The deadline for electronic applications through eVŠ is August 27, 2024.
Each candidate can submit one application, where they list up to three (3) programmes they wish to apply for, ordering them from least to most desired.
Capability Test
The capability test assesses the following key capabilities, talents and knowledge of candidates:
- capacity and aptitude for spatial comprehension and expression,
- critical knowledge and evaluation of the architectural environment.
Each candidate of the Architecture Studies Capability Test may take this exam only once per academic year.

Application Periods for Foreign Candidates from non-EU Countries
Non-EU nationals have the right to apply.
Foreign citizens must pay tuition fees in accordance with the Regulations on tuition fees and accommodation in public student dormitories for Slovenians without Slovenian citizenship and foreigners in the Republic of Slovenia.
Pursuant to protocols on cooperation in the field of education, citizens of Montenegro, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia carry equal status as Slovenian and EU citizens with regards to tuition fees, meaning they are exempt from international student tuition fees for full-time studies.

Deadlines for submitting appendices to the application:
April 19, 2024 for candidates who already have their graduation certificates, and August 1, 2024 for candidates who will receive their graduation certificates in 2024.

Each candidate can submit up to three (3) applications, naming one desired programme in each.
Capability Test
The capability test assesses the following key capabilities, talents and knowledge of candidates:

- critical knowledge and evaluation of the architectural environment.
Each candidate of the Architecture Studies Capability Test may take this exam only once per academic year.

Notice to applicants for the Capability Test
The first application period:
Application for Enrolment in a Higher Year (Transferring Criteria)
All candidates can apply, regardless of nationality.
Candidates applying for enrolment in a higher year must submit an electronic application via the eVŠ web portal within the deadlines specified below.
Applications for enrolment in a higher year are processed by the relevant bodies of higher education institutions:
- in accordance with transferring criteria, specified within the individual study programme for students transferring to a different programme, accredited after June 11, 2004 (i.e., Bologna study programmes), or
- in accordance with accelerated advancement procedures of the higher education institution, for candidates who did not complete their previous programme and who, instead of enrolling in Year 1, wish to enrol in the same or lower year than they were already enrolled in at the previous study programme.
Candidates for enrolment in a higher year of a study programme must nonetheless meet the criteria for enrolment into Year 1 of that programme. The year in which the candidate can enrol is determined by the higher education institution during the application and admission procedure. This decision is not affected by the year selected by the candidate in their enrolment application.

Architecture Studies Capability Test
The Architecture Studies Capability Test assesses the following key capabilities, talents and knowledge of candidates:
- capacity and aptitude for spatial comprehension and expression,
- critical knowledge and evaluation of the architectural environment.
Each candidate of the Architecture Studies Capability Test may take this exam only once per academic year.
The capability test for candidates enrolling in a higher year according to transferring criteria or accelerated advancement criteria, is comprised of two parts:
1. An overall assessment of the candidate’s personal portfolio, which includes relevant study assignments from the study programme they are transferring from.
2. A candidate interview; an evaluation of the candidate’s interests, motives, social and cultural awareness, resolve, character, their connection to architecture, and their critical evaluation and knowledge of the architectural environment.
