Traffic Analysis

The Faculty of Architecture website employs a system that tracks and analyses visits. For this purpose, we use Matomo software, which is installed on our own servers.

We only track your visit if you explicitly allow us to do so in your cookie settings. Your browsing on our website is secure and private even if you allow us to monitor your visit.

Frequently asked questions

Should I worry about the safety of my identity?

The system we use to track visits cannot discover your identity. We also have no connections with external providers (i.e., Facebook and Google) that could potentially identify you.

All data processed by the system is anonymised before usage. The system does not record IP numbers, so these cannot be misused either.

Is gathered data shared with third parties?

The data is collected on our own server. It is therefore visible only to us. It is not shared with any third parties.

Why do you collect your visitors’ data?

We would like to know what content on the website interests you, so that we may use the information gathered by our system to improve the website’s functionality for our visitors. The data is not collected for marketing or sales purposes.

Do you use cookies to track users?

We use Matomo cookies for tracking. These cookies help us to know what content a visitor has viewed during their visit.

Can I disable tracking?

If your browser has a ‘do-not-track’ mode enabled, we respect your choice and will not track your visit. Even so, you can turn off tracking at any time. To do this, go to website settings somewhere towards the bottom, find the link to open the cookie settings. This will open the banner for editing your cookie settings, click on the ‘customize’ button and untick the ‘analytics’ option. Save your settings by clicking the ‘save selected’ button.
