In the scope of the course the students will learn about basic programming techniques and how to create simple software gadgets/plug-ins that can be used in the context of creative processes within architectural design and drafting.
The first part of the subject (1/3 the lessons) includes knowledge from the basics of computer algorithms and programming basics in scripting programming languages (e.g. Python or the like). The first part of the course will be carried out by a lecturer from the UL FRI.
The second part of the course (2/3 of the lessons) covers knowledge in the field of algorithmically supported design in architecture. Students will learn about the parameterization and control procedures of modelling programs on the Grasshopper/Kangaroo platform for the Rhinoceros 3D mdelling program, which will enable them to create their own software plug-ins and to paremetrize the processes within the framework of architectural design. The second part of the course will be carried out by a lecturer from the UL FA.
