Chair of Architectural Technology

The chair works to incorporate into its educational process rapidly developing technologies in the fields of construction and architecture, all while making important contributions to several technological fields and activities related to the planning, design and construction of structures. A globalized world must emphasize ecological and energy-related considerations, as well as the design of sustainable buildings using advanced technologies, methods and principles developed by modern science.

The chair’s subjects provide basic knowledge of structure statics, aspects of construction, as well as general knowledge of structures, their planning, analysis, design and dimensioning. The chair also includes more technologically-oriented subjects, which cover select fields such as building physics, installation systems, construction technologies, facade-cladding technologies, and materials.

Within the scope of their pedagogical work, chair members also participate in seminars and act as consultants for master’s theses, transferring knowledge from the chair’s various courses into the projects and final works of the faculty’s students.
